Youth Mediation Programme within the MYCDIC Institutional Ecosystem

About Youth Mediator

A youth-focused mediation programme built around dignity, structure and institutional responsibility.

Youth Mediator exists to make structured dialogue more accessible to young people and the institutions that work with them. It combines a human mediation approach with a controlled case-management process designed to protect confidentiality and clarify responsibility.

01
Purpose

Why Youth Mediator exists

Disagreements can escalate when people do not have a trusted, structured place to be heard. Youth Mediator creates a disciplined route for dialogue before conflict becomes harder to manage. The programme is particularly focused on situations involving young people, organizations, institutional relationships and programme ecosystems where communication, clarification or facilitated resolution may be useful.

02
Mandate

What the programme is designed to do

The programme can receive eligible mediation requests, facilitate structured communication, support institutional dialogue, coordinate case follow-up and make responsible referrals when another route is more appropriate. It is not a court, law-enforcement body, emergency service or substitute for independent legal advice.

03
Institutional position

Connected to MYCDIC, governed by dedicated case safeguards

Youth Mediator operates within the programme ecosystem of the Moroccan Youth Council for Diplomatic and International Cooperation. Strategic supervision does not remove the need for case eligibility, conflict-of-interest checks, confidentiality, controlled access and professional responsibility at the operational level.

Operating principles

Four principles shape the programme.

The value of mediation depends on how the process is governed. These principles guide the intake, assignment and follow-up of eligible cases.

Neutrality

Case handling should not be assigned where a material conflict of interest would undermine independence or confidence in the process.

Confidentiality

Personal and sensitive case information is separated from public tracking and is available only to authorized personnel with a legitimate operational need.

Safeguarding

Mediation is not used to delay urgent protection, emergency assistance, competent authority action or time-sensitive legal processes.

What Youth Mediator can support

Eligible youth-related disputes, organizational communication, structured dialogue, relationship repair, institutional facilitation, programme ecosystem concerns and responsible referral.

What Youth Mediator does not replace

Emergency services, criminal authorities, courts, binding adjudication, professional legal advice, clinical services or any competent body that must act immediately.
